WWII Battles
WWII, a long, costly and bloody war, lasted 6 years and was fought all over the world. Many strategic battles/events took place in the European Theater as well as in the Pacific Theater. Battles also took place in Africa and the US (Pearl Harbor).
1. Use your worksheet for this lesson. You will need access to this information tomorrow for our discussion.
Your job today is to research the battle/event from the list below. Prepare for a discussion about your battle/event. By the time you are done with your research you should know:
1. Who fought in your battle or participated in the event
2. When
3. Where was the battle/event
4. Who won this battle
5. Locate it on a map
6. Find/print some (2-3) pictures (If you find an interesting 2 minute YouTube Clip, you could use that in your discussion instead of pictures.) Don't just show the pictures/clip, but be able to talk about them too!
7. Be able to tell a story of something interesting/unique about your battle/event.
NOTE: IF you have a person to research, you need to know bio facts, where they fought, interesting stories, accomplishments, failures.
